The Breadwinner

The Taliban rule the Afghan countryside with its iron-fisted fanaticism. 11-year old Parvana (Saara Chaudry) helps her invalid father sell their meager wares until he is imprisoned by the tyrants. Without a male in the family to accompany the women in public, the youngster makes a dangerous decision - she cuts off her hair, dons boy’s clothing and enters a world of wonder and adventure as “The Breadwinner.”
